Claus Kühnl, who as an already renowned composer has received commissions from the Bavarian State Theater, among others, opens this series of recordings of highly interesting chamber music works. In his works, Claus Kühnl explores in an exciting manner the overtones and resonances provided by the nature of the sounds, without ever allowing the sensuality of his music to be forgotten. Andreas Weimer is a very sensitive performer who is able to realize Claus Kühnl’s music on the large Steinway grand piano.
