about this recording:
They have made a very personal selection of compositions by wellknown as well as little-known composers. Shining like cherry blossom leaves scattered between the works of European music, the Japanese songs conjure up the exotic and poetic in this east-west program. The music conveys messages of joy and friendship, and the musicians are Germany's cultural ambassadors in Japan. Rebecca Rust and Friedrich Edelmann have time and again given concerts at the Japanese imperial court.
