SPECULUM VITÆ

| about this recording: On this CD, Monika Wiech presents song cycles by Joseph Haas (including some first recordings), which together with other works of the classical-tonal modern represent a valuable enrichment of the musical literature in the first half of the twentieth century. For the recordings with organ, the large Romantic organ (Gebrüder Link, 1910) in the Pauluskirche, Ulm, was chosen, which like the grand piano by Grotrian-Steinweg (1914) corresponds to the tonal ideal of the turn of the century. |
