| about this recording: This third CD with the Concilium musicum Vienna in the series of live recordings from the Marble Hall of the Austrian Academy of the Sciences (formerly the Old University) also includes, besides Joseph Haydn’s well-known Symphony no. 85 “La Reine,” premiere recordings: The Sinfonia concertante for violin, viola, and orchestra as well as the Symphony in C Major by Franz Xaver Süssmayr with its surprising variations in the slow movement.
