Imagine Brahms’s sweeping phrases and harmony combined with Schumann’s singing lyricism, and you’ll have a good idea of what Kahn’s music sounds like... Kahn is a wonderful discovery for me, and the half of the program devoted to him should make a welcome addition to the collection of anyone who loves Romantic chamber music.
